The year 2012 has finally arrived! and I got a pretty good start to the new year via the winter training. I figured since I'll be entering my last semester in college, I'll start keeping track of my journey in gaining Christ.
Throughout my last 3.5 years in the church, we would always sing songs that talked about Zion. Never really understood what Zion was, but I finally got a better idea of it. Zion was the center of the city of Jerusalem as God's dwelling place on earth. It is also the place that typifies the body of overcomers within the church, so it resembles the high peak, the beauty, and the strengthening of the church. Ultimately, God's heart is set on Zion, the city of God, with Christ within it.
Now since I desire my heart to be a duplication of the Lord's heart, I should probably have this ongoing, consistent, internal journey to reach Zion. This is the real journey I'm on. It's not this general highway of life... it's the highways to Zion!
Amen! Thank you for your sharing! :)
